Can you answer only a specific number of calls or specific types of calls?

Yes, this type of forwarding setup is commonly referred to as Conditional Forwarding, After-Hours Forwarding, or Overflow Forwarding.

Our team is available 24/7 to serve as backup whenever you need us. Common situations where we help with overflow include:

  • You’re receiving multiple calls at once
  • Your lines are down
  • Your receptionist or on-call technicians are out
  • Someone is calling after-hours
  • A customer is experiencing an urgent, after-hours emergency
  • You or your staff are busy on a project and cannot answer the phone
  • You only want to answer calls when you’re not working on anything else
Please Note: Some conditional forwarding situations will still ring your primary line first. The number of rings will depend on the carrier, but conditional forwarding does not allow all of your calls to be answered within 2 rings. To maximize the number of calls answered in this timeframe, we recommend using unconditional forwarding.
