Instructions for activating and deactivating call forwarding for Nextiva.

How to set up phone forwarding with Nextiva

Step 1: Log in to Your Nextiva Account

  1. Visit Nextiva’s Website: Go to nextiva.com.
  2. Sign In: Click on the “Login” button in the top right corner and enter your account credentials.

Step 2: Access Call Forwarding Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings: Once logged in, look for the “Settings” or “Phone Settings” section in your account dashboard.
  2. Select “Call Forwarding”: Find the option labeled “Call Forwarding” in the settings menu.

Step 3: Set Up Call Forwarding

  1. Enable Call Forwarding: Toggle the call forwarding option to “On.”
  2. Enter Forwarding Number: Input the phone number where you want your calls to be forwarded. Be sure to include the area code.
  3. Choose Forwarding Type: You can typically select options like:
    • Always Forward: Forward all incoming calls.
    • Forward When Busy: Forward calls only if you’re already on another call.
    • Forward When Unanswered: Forward calls if you don’t answer after a certain number of rings.

Step 4: Save Your Changes

  • Save Settings: Click the “Save” or “Apply” button to ensure your forwarding settings are active.

Step 5: Test the Forwarding

  1. Make a Test Call: From another phone, call your Nextiva number to check if the forwarding is working correctly.
  2. Verify: Ensure the call is forwarded to the specified number.
